Headteachers Welcome

We have a particular view about learning at The Grove Nursery School. We believe that everyone learns best when they feel happy, relaxed, safe and secure. We aim to provide a rich learning environment where play is recognised as vital for development. We want children to feel excited about learning. We believe that children, parents, carers and staff all have a role in promoting the ‘four Cs’ – curiosity, confidence, co-operation and creativity.

We greatly value your opinion and welcome any comments and suggestions. Parents and carers are always welcome at The Grove Nursery and staff will make themselves available to talk to you about any aspect of the early years education or any problems, large or small. If anything worries you, please come and see us straight away. If it is not possible to talk immediately we will make a time to meet with you.

We want your child to feel happy and relaxed so that he/she is in the best position to take advantage of the learning opportunities we offer.

Executive Headteacher

"The children arrive at the school with varied skilled and pre-school experiences.  Broadly, their skills on arrival are below those typical for their age.  By the time they leave, their skills are broadly typical for their age, and this represents good progress.  As a result, they are well prepared for the next stage of schooling and learning".
